Sinfonías para la Ausencia, death doom metal album in Spanish.

The first version of this album was published in 2004, this is the remastered version of 2019. Many hours have been invested in the improvement of sound, apart from providing new arrangements in certain parts of the work, leaving a sound much more forceful and in keeping with the initial intentions of the author; create a death doom metal album with a large presence of Spanish guitars and sung in Castilian.

Nailscissors is a solo project which tries to be a place where I can experiment with the musical language. I mean, it’s a one-person band which plays music that no one will want to hear.

It tried to be a personal interpretation of grunge, but it was more like noise (I think that’s a genre in which you play noise until you don’t know what you are listening to). The multitrack were unknown for me, so I had to record the instruments in different devices and over the ones played before.
This first moment was very productive, but not interesting: it was shit. I don’t even listen to that music, almost improvised and badly played and recorded.

Then, it became a more serious era, from 1998, when I discovered that I could sing as death metal. Nailscissors trended to metal. Anyway, the sound was still very poor. In 1999 was published “And Dancing with Angels”, a demo that was almost well composed, with an electric guitar and better keyboards, all of them given by Miguel Jiménez, a good friend of mine.

Then, three other demos appeared: “Born”, “Adagio” and "The Breath of The Machine", all of them recorded in tapes. There already are techno influences in Nailscissors music.

Finally, in 2001, the computer means a great change in Nailscissors concept: digital multitracks, effects, good recording and playing quality… and midi composition. There’s a metronome that leads Nailscissors music to somewhere! Thank to these new technologies appeared “Byte me”, the best techno demo I’ve done, but it was stranger than I wanted. The computer let me create a great visual universe which is one of Nailscissors characteristics by the time.

Nowadays, I’m working in other demos, black metal, doom metal and techno demos… we’ll keep on destroying your ears!
